Applying for a government grant at the city, county or federal level can be a daunting experience, but can also be an excellent learning opportunity and potentially result in increased credibility and resources for the nonprofit organization. This interactive workshop will provide an overview of the process of applying for government grants – from finding potential funding opportunities, registering to apply, making sense of RFPs (Requests for Proposals), planning the project and completing the application process itself. To gain the most from this learning experience, it is recommended that participants have some experience with grant proposal writing, minimally at the foundation level, but this is not required. The course trainer is AJ King, MPH, Director of Next-Level Consulting, Inc.
