The International Youth Conference 11 (IYC11)

Organized by the International Organization of Youth (IOY) and hosted by The UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, the Internation Youth Conference 11 is a premier global platform that brings together youth from around the world to engage, deliberate, and contribute to multilateral solutions for a better future. This year’s conference theme is “Youth Shaping Global Development.” The theme highlights the vital role of young people in driving global development, emphasizing that youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow but active change-makers right now, today. It recognizes the urgency for youth to take the lead in addressing persistent gaps across key areas such as policy, economic opportunity, education, and social justice. By focusing on “bridging gaps,” it calls for youth-led policies and actions that ensure meaningful development and progress, leaving no one behind in the journey toward a better future.

23 Seeds of Greatness Empowering Our Youth: Beyond This Moment. Anti-Violence Youth Conference

This conference will provide participants with a day filled with inspiration, education, and empowerment for young people. The in-person event aims to provide a platform for young people to come together, learn about anti-violence initiatives, and discover ways to make a positive impact in their communities. At this conference, there will be engaging speakers, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities that will leave participants feeling motivated and ready to take action. It will help them individually and collaboratively to create a safer and more inclusive environment for young people.

L.A. YOUTH EXPO 2025

Saturday, May 31, 2025 – 10 AM – 4 PM (PDT)
Location: Los Angeles Trade Technical College 400 West Washington Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90015
Cost: Free

Launched in 2023 by the City of Los Angeles Youth Development Department in partnership with various City youth-serving organizations, this annual event aspires to uplift youth-based communities, enhance their workforce readiness, foster professional growth, and promote overall self-esteem. Conference activities will include an array of job-hiring referrals, interactive Career and Workforce Development workshops, and healthy meal preparation sessions that promise to be both fun and educational. There also will be a wildfire recovery resource booth and mental health and wellness workshops. And there will be an “activity zone” presenting arts and culture activities, and a fashion runway show, which merges current trends with appropriate workplace attire.

2025 National UNITY Conference

June 27 – July 1, 2025 – (session times to be determined)
Location: San Diego, CA (venue to be determined)
Cost: $475

The National UNITY Conference will be a five-day youth-led extravaganza, with more than 2,500 Native youth and mentors participating. Organized by the United South and Eastern Tribes, the focus is on tribes in those regions of the US, but the conference may also be of interest to Southern California tribal youth. The conference will feature engaging sessions, regional caucuses, workshops, and an expansive career/education fair, offering an opportunity for hands-on leadership development. The conference also will include a meeting of the National UNITY Council to conduct elections and hold its annual business meeting. The conference offers a chance to be part of a platform where Native youth voices are amplified and cherished.
