Student Safety Conference 2025

This event, organized by Southern California Crossroads, will bring together educators, youth advocates, policymakers, and community leaders to engage in discussions on the critical safety challenges facing today’s youth. Over the course of two days, the conference will explore key topics such as violence prevention, crisis response, and mental health support, offering insights and practical strategies. Attendees will leave with the tools and knowledge necessary to drive meaningful, lasting change in their communities and schools.

Seeds of Change Summit

Saturday, August 30, 2025 – 9 AM – 5 PM PDT
Location: UCLA, 425 Westwood Plaza Los Angeles, CA 90095
Cost: $33.85 (youth free)

The 2025 Seeds of Change Summit, organized by Youth on Root, will unite California youth of color to turn climate crisis into collective action for justice. The Summit will bring together over 400 high school and college-age youth leaders from across California who are on the frontlines of the climate crisis, particularly BIPOC youth from low-income communities. Through youth-led workshops, organizing sessions, and coalition-building opportunities, participants will explore and share the tools and support necessary to lead the fight for environmental justice in their communities. The summit will also serve as a space for healing, joy, and resilience—recognizing that climate justice is not only about resisting harm but also about envisioning and creating a future where communities can thrive.
